Swansea City fullback Neil Taylor says Jefferson Montero has become a big fans' favourite.

Even though the Wales international reckons teams are now starting to see Montero as a threat, Taylor reckons the flier has what it takes to keep on surprising defenders for the good of Garry Monk's side.

He told WalesOnline: "He's brought that injection of pace, he plays off the cuff a little bit and excites the crowd - and it showed the way Tottenham set up that they knew he was a threat for us.

"We're starting to get a good relationship on the field - the only way you can develop relationships with wingers is playing with them over and over again.

"I've started to more or less know what he's going to do and I've also learned enough Spanish words to help us out now because he doesn't speak much English.

"He's quick with the ball, that's the key.

"And he's very good at stopping and making you go again and although teams are starting to double up on him I'm sure it's something he's had to deal with before.

"Teams do their analysis and know players' strengths so we'll keep working with him.

"We want to create more goals from down our side and hopefully we can do that."
