Francesco Tavano is prepared to stay with Livorno, despite their relegation.
The striker was expected to quit Livorno after a clash with fans last season.
"I know there are rumours regarding my future but I want to stay in Tuscany," said the 31-year-old.
"I don't know much about these potential transfers and of course playing in Serie A with a team like Catania would be exciting. They have great fans.
"However, I have a contract with Livorno and there are 12 months left on it. My wish is to respect it because I owe a lot to this team."
