Raul Tamudo is furious with Espanyol management over their treatment of his agent.

Tamudo admits he may quit the club over the row, with his representatives admitting talks had slowed over new contract negotiations.

"I'm very, very, very angry and upset about things that happened at this press room," said Tamudo yesterday. "I do not deserve this treatment.

"Watching the press conference that took place here I could not understand why I have been involved in this issue. I hate to talk, but there comes a time when one cannot remain silent after hearing so many lies.

"I am surprised that you have a news conference to reply to a representative. My agent's statements are normal regarding the situation of my contract.

"I do not want to leave here but it seems that others do not want me to stay. If the club decides to extend the contract, I'll sign. I want to stay here forever."
