Sydney FC head coach Frank Farina insists star striker Alessandro Del Piero is not about to exit the club.
A report from Fairfax media suggested that the Juventus great will depart the Sky Blues at the completion of the current A-League season which would end a two-year association with the Harbour City outfit.
It is believed that Sydney had opted not to offer Del Piero a one-year contract extension but Farina was quick to play down those rumours.
"The story that suggested that was the case, it's not," he told AAP.
"Discussions haven't been held with Alessandro out of respect for what he wants to do, which is finish as high up the table as we can.
"There's no decision been made what so ever."
Since joining Sydney from Juventus, Del Piero has scored 22 A-League goals in 43 appearances.
