Sydney FC have terminated the contract of goalkeeper Liam Reddy for breaching his Standard Player Contract.
The 30-year old was caught drinking alcohol on a flight to a match to take on Wellington Phoenix last month with the club deciding to end his time as a Sky Blues player.
"Those actions represented serious misconduct and do not reflect the actions we believe to be appropriate for a professional football player with Sydney FC.""Sydney FC today terminated the employment and contract of Liam Reddy following incidents that took place before, during and after a flight to Wellington before the recent semi final," said Sydney FC Acting CEO Stefan Kamasz.
Reddy made close to 40 A-League appearances for Sydney following stints with Wellington Phoenix, Brisbane Roar and Newcastle Jets.
