Chelsea striker Fernando Torres insists the 2-0 win over Swindon Town in the third round of the Capital One Cup on Tuesday night is the type of victory that instils confidence within the group.
The Spaniard scored and provided an assist for Ramires as the Blues progressed to the next stage of the competition with a comfortable win at the Country Ground and it was a well-received result by the playing group according to Torres.
"We know that in the cups in England, both of them - League Cup and FA Cup - it is very important to win away against the teams playing in lower divisions. We know that from our own experience in past seasons against other teams that we have played against," he told Sky Sports.
"We are very happy with the performance of the team. We gave minutes to some players who have not been involved in the last matches, so everyone is happy with the result and happy to be back in the line-up.
"It is one more step forward."
