Inter coach Roberto Mancini declared last week he would love to work with Gilardino, who is a target for the Rossoneri boo-boys in the early weeks of the new season.
"Of course I would like to coach Alberto Gilardino," said Mancini. "We have five attackers, but he is a great player and would fit in perfectly with the players we have."
For his part, AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani said on Tuesday: "Adriano is a player who Milan would certainly take."
