Swansea City are willing to make captain Ashley Williams their highest paid player.
WalesOnline says Swans could have to make Williams the highest-paid player in the club's history if they want to seal a new contract for their captain.
But, as a string of clubs eye-up the centre-back with Sunderland making him their No.1 summer target, it has been made clear the Swans star won't be on his way out of South Wales even if a deal can't be reached.
Talks have begun over a new contract for the 29-year-old skipper who only has one year left on his existing Liberty Stadium terms.
