Swansea City have made it vehemently clear that they will not be selling Ashley Williams anytime soon.

The Swans have rejected a £10million offer from Everton for their captain and insist that there are absolutely no plans to get rid of him before the new season starts.

Reports earlier this week indicated that perhaps the Toffees would be successful in their pursuit of Williams but Swansea have slammed the door shut on any potential exit for the Wales skipper.

"Ashley Williams is an important part of our squad and club and we are not looking to sell him, and therefore we have turned down the offer currently on the table," said a club spokesperson.
