Swansea City goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski has spoken about the dreadful moment when he saw his teammate Bafetimbi Gomis collapse on the pitch on Wednesday night.
French striker Gomis, 29, fainted in the middle of White Hart Lane not long after Nacer Chadli opened the scoring in Tottenham's eventual 3-2 win over the Swans.
Medical staff rushed out to tend to Gomis before carrying him from the pitch in what was a bizarre incident that had teammates and opponents looking on in shock.
"From the moment when I saw something was wrong it was when Bafe was already on the floor and you could feel that everyone was in kind of shock," said Fabianski.
"But from what I heard he's OK now so hopefully everything is OK."
The former Arsenal gloveman added that it felt even worse for those who witnessed the incident as it almost mirrored that of former Bolton midfielder Fabrice Muamba who suffered a cardiac arrest at the same venue in 2012.
"Obviously, it was a shocking moment, especially because it's the same ground where something similar happened before, you just don't want the same thing to happen. Those kind of things go through your mind," he added.
