Swansea City are eyeing Aston Villa fullback Matt Lowton.
The People says Swansea boss Garry Monk will try to land out-of-favour Villa right-back Lowton in January for around £3million.
Middlesbrough wanted to take the player on loan this season, but a 10-month switch to the Riverside was blocked by Villa gaffer Paul Lambert.
The Scot wants Lowton to stay and provide back-up for Hutton, and he insists the player remains very much part of his plans.
The defender was tipped for an England call-up after a strong finish to his first season in Birmingham, but struggled for consistency and form in the last campaign.
