Swansea loss has to be a wake-up call for Hull - McShane

Hull City defender Paul McShane believes that the defeat to Swansea City on Saturday should act as a massive wake-up call for the Tigers.

Hull have managed to earn only two points from their last five Premier League games which has seen them dragged back into the relegation battle.

"It's very worrying when you are down there because there are always twists and turns in the last few weeks," said Republic of Ireland international McShane who scored in the 3-1 loss at the Liberty Stadium.

"Every year there are teams who put runs together and others who get dragged into it.

"This has got to be a massive wake-up call because it's okay when you are a few places above the relegation zone but when you look at the points difference it's nothing. A single weekend can change everything and we are definitely bang in it."

The Tigers are placed 16th on the table, two points above the relegation zone.
