Swansea City are stalling on selling Neil Taylor to Newcastle United.
The Evening Chronicle says the Magpies were yesterday waiting for an answer from the newly-promoted Welsh club, with Swans chairman Huw Jenkins revealing they could face a fight to win the left-sided player's signature.
Anxieties are continuing to grow over the future of Spaniard Jose Enrique.
Taylor, a former Manchester City junior, is seen as a direct replacement.
