Swansea City have failed with an opening offer for Bolton Wanderers midfielder Mark Davies.
The Daily Mail says Swansea have had an initial £3.5million offer for Bolton's Davies rejected.
Swansea want Davies to replace Joe Allen, who is joining Liverpool.
