Swansea City are set to increase their pursuit of Everton's Luke Garbutt according to reports.

The Welsh club are keen to sign French left-back Franck Tabanou from Saint-Etienne but the Ligue 1 club have urged them to raise their initial bid of £3.5million.

As a contingency, the Swans are readying an offer for promising 22-year old Toffees full-back Garbutt who is out of contract at the end of the month.

Swansea are keen on Garbutt who may leave Goodison Park as he is behind Leighton Baines, Brendan Galloway and Bryan Oviedo in Roberto Martinez's pecking order.
