Swansea City have offered skipper Ashley Williams an improved contract.

The Sunderland Echo says reports in South Wales today suggest that Williams has been offered a hefty new deal to remain at Swansea.

Crucially though, Williams has not yet accepted the fresh contract and that will give Sunderland hope that they can land one of their main targets this summer.
