Swansea City were able to close their deal for Itay Shechter yesterday.

The Sun says Shechter was finally given the green light to move from Kaiserslautern.

The Israel striker completed his loan switch last night, having been granted the necessary work permit.

Shechter, 25, was forced to leave the UK before he could receive international and FA clearance to seal his temporary transfer from the Germans.

The 13-cap forward spent four days in Paris while he waited for the move to go through as hoped.

Shechter could even end up making his debut against Sunderland.
