Aston Villa midfielder Ashley Westwood is a target for Swansea City.

The Sunday Mirror says the 25-year-old has failed to impress new boss Tim Sherwood and looks set to be offloaded in the summer.

Swans boss Garry Monk sees Westwood as the ideal figure to slot into his midfield and is plotting a £4 million bid.

Westwood was one of former Villa boss Paul Lambert's first signings as he arrived in a £2 million deal from Crewe in 2012.
