Swansea City aim to use Ki Sung-Yueng to lift their profile in South Korea.
The Sunday Express says South Korea captain Ki and his actress wife Han Hye-jin are huge stars in their homeland, and have been dubbed their nation's answer to Posh and Becks.
The Swans hope to capitalise on Ki's popularity by spending some of their pre-season in the Far East, although talks are still continuing over finalising their summer itinerary.
Manager Garry Monk said: "There are options in Europe and outside for pre-season, there is talk of the Far East, there is talk of America again.
"It is about nailing it down, there could be a tournament set up. We should know in the next couple of weeks."
