Swansea City boss Brendan Rodgers is the shock name under consideration at Manchester City.

The People says Rodgers' style has impressed leading figures within City's hierarchy who are prepared to back the Irishman's case all the way.

Big names, including Pep Guardiola and Jose Mourinho, are also sure of a mention but support for Rodgers is such that he will be no pushover.

Ironically, it was Swansea's 1-0 home win over City that knocked them off the top of the Premier League last month and swung the title race in Manchester United's favour.
