Swansea City boss Brendan Rodgers is anxious about tying defender Ashley Williams down to a new deal.
It is yet to be sorted out with a number of Premier League clubs waiting in the wings to pounce for the highly-rated central defender.
The likes of Wolves, West Brom and West Ham are all thought to be monitoring Williams' situation and Rodgers is keen to sort out the player's future.
"All I can do is say what I feel we need. It's up to the board and the agent," Rodgers told the Daily Star Sunday.
"His wages have been agreed but details need to be cleared up."
Williams confirmed he had yet to put pen to paper on the deal on offer, saying: "I haven't signed the contract yet. That is all I can say at the moment."
