Swansea head coach Francesco Guidolin says the club are close to completing a deal for 26-year-old Chievo striker Alberto Paloschi.
"I asked my chairman [Huw Jenkins] if it was a possibility. I like him," said Guidolin.
"Paloschi was my player when we worked together at Parma. He was a promising player. He is a good player, a good guy. I think he is important for us and can help the team to have results and score many goals, I hope.
"I think he's a modern player. He can play well in the Premier League because he is strong."
