Swansea boss Monk takes fresh swipe at Stoke rival Hughes

Swansea City boss Garry Monk has taken another swipe at Stoke City rival Mark Hughes.

Monk was called naive for post-match interviews lambasting the referee and Stoke winger Victor Moses, who he accused of cheating to win a penalty.

"Of course they [Hughes's put downs] are [patronising] but they are going to be," he said.

"You are not going to be respected by everyone, this is the world we live in.

"The way Tony Pulis handled Jerome Thomas diving for Crystal Palace down here last season [by fining his player], is how I would have handled it myself.

"Mark Hughes chose not to handle it that way and that is his prerogative. It is up to other people to decide if that is the right way to do it."
