Swansea boss Monk backing Dyer, Routledge for England calls

Swansea City boss Garry Monk was delighted with their thumping 3-0 win over West Bromwich Albion.

Wayne Routledge registered with a spectacular 18-yard volley and Nathan Dyer grabbed a double to take his goal tally for the season to three.

"I've talked about it many times and said before you have to watch them to select them," said Swansea manager Monk.

"They can only do what they're doing and they have to improve and make it difficult for any international manager not to pick them.

"On form, yes, I think they should be in (the England squad). But maybe I'm biased because they're my players.

"But we understand that it's early in the season and it's not something we talk about much.

"If it comes great, but we just make sure the football's as good as possible."
