Swansea boss Laudrup remains keen on Real Betis midfielder Jose Canas

Swansea City boss Michael Laudrup says their deal for Roland Lamah won't end the club's spending.

Swansea still hope to bring in Real Betis midfielder Jose Canas although will not be forced into paying over the odds with the player available on a free in the summer, while Laudrup is still keen on adding to his attacking options.

But he stressed once more he will be comfortable biding his time, stating: "We are working hard but not just in January, we will work on February 1 thinking about July because the transfer window is like New York and we never sleep.

"We are working hard but we can't pay like most of other clubs in the Premier League, and not just the big clubs. We have to do it silently and not speak so much and I won't comment on names."
