Swansea City boss Michael Laudrup has hailed the form of Ben Davies this season.
Laudrup believes young Wales left-back Davies has stopped Swansea City having to spend a fortune in the transfer market to replace injured Neil Taylor.
He said "He has played well every week. He has been fantastic.
"I did not want to put that type of pressure on Ben as a youngster. In the beginning we said he was young and you get a few mistakes from people of that age.
"But then after six or seven games a lot of people just see him as a regular. I've had to try and remind everybody that when we talk about new players in this side that Ben is the same.
"You have to remember that because we cannot take it for granted that a 19-year-old comes in and is just a part of it. He is still developing but he has done fantastic."
