Swansea City manager Paul Clement has admitted he did not want Jack Cork to leave the club.
The 28-year old, who made 87 appearances for the Swans, moved to Burnley on Tuesday in a deal believed to be worth £10m.
"Jack was not someone we were looking to move on," the Swans manager said.
"I saw him as part of my plans, but a really good offer came in from Burnley and it was also a good personal offer for Jack.
"This move is a good business opportunity for the club and it's also a good footballing and career opportunity for Jack."
