Leon Britton praised the attitude shown by Swansea City during their 3-0 victory over York City in the second round of the Capital One Cup.
Swans manager Garry Monk unsurprisingly made a raft of changes to his side for the league one fixture with the League Two Minstermen and the professionalism of the performance was not lost on stand-in captain Britton.
Despite the changes, Swansea coasted to a comfortable 3-0 victory and following the game, veteran midfielder Britton was left pleased with the attitude the fringe players had shown on the night.
Britton told the club's official website: "It was a good game for all the lads. Three goals, none conceded and through to the next round. I've been on the side going to a team higher up the divisions than you, and we knew they would give everything, so we had to make sure we matched up tonight.
"The attitude was right from the players, which should be a given anyway, but the boys showed that. We were confident that with the quality we've got, we'd come through and win the game.
"We couldn't have wished for a better start, which kills the opposition a little bit. If you can get the early goal, it kills their confidence a little. We had a spell in the first half for ten to 15 minutes when we got a little bit sloppy but that's maybe understandable with a team of 11 players that haven't played a lot in recent times."
