Swansea agree £10m Williams deal with Everton

Swansea City and Everton have reportedly come to an agreement regarding the transfer of Ashley Williams.

The Guardian is reporting that the Swans captain is set to leave the Liberty Stadium after eight years after both clubs agreed a £10million deal.

Everton boss Ronald Koeman has made Williams a priority signing, as the Toffees prepare to lose John Stones to Manchester City, and it is understood that a deal has been agreed in principle.

Wales skipper Williams has been one of Swansea's most consistent performers over the past few years and has continually turned down overtures from rivals clubs but it appears as though he could now be on the way out.

The 31-year-old has two years remaining on his current Swans deal and will land the Welsh club a tidy profit of £9.7m having joined from Stockport County for just £300,000 back in 2008.
