Brighton midfielder Pascal Gross has been told to be one of the best midfielders in the world.

The Germany international is pushing for a great finish to his seventh campaign in the Premier League.

As Brighton prepare to take on Manchester City, his friend Markus Suttner heaped praise on Gross.

The two made their debuts for the Seagulls against City in the 2017-2018 season.

Suttner told The Argus: “I knew Pascal from Ingolstadt.

“He's a great guy and now, after the years, you can see how he has adapted to the league, to the situation, to every angle of the game.

“You can see now he is in the national team in Germany.

“We agreed and also accepted that he has the quality to go there.

“For me in my career, he is the best player I have played with.

“He has everything, he is a great person.

“He has the tactical side, he can shoot, everything.

“For me it is no surprise that he stayed at Brighton and is already a legend there."
