SuperSport excited by arrival of Isaka Cernak

Isaka Cernak has left the A-League to join South African side SuperSport United.

The 26-year-old, who spent time with no less than six A-League clubs, signed a three-year deal with SuperSport this week.

The club's CEO, Stan Matthews, was delighted to have secured the midfielder's services.

"Cernak is a very exciting player," Matthews told Sport24.

"I think you guys will be blown away when you see him.

"He's got skill, he's got flair, he's got attitude, pace, and I think he will bring out the best of Lebogang Manyama because it's not going to be easy for Manyama to get into the team.

"From everything we have seen, he has power, pace, reads the game well and a no-nonsense approach and I think he is going to be a big hit."

Cernak, who had his longest spells with Brisbane Roar, Melbourne Victory and Central Coast Mariners, will join a squad that includes fellow former A-League players Jeremy Brockie and Michael Boxall.
