Newcastle United legend Malcolm Macdonald is a big fan of Paul Dummett.
Supermac wrote for the Evening Chronicle: "I honestly believe that a major reason for the shut-outs has been the conversion of Paul Dummett from left-back to centre-half.
"He's a proper defender, and Fabricio Coloccini when fit has gone back to what he was - disciplined and assured instead of a headless chicken.
"Dummett can influence the game and those around him better from a central position than out wide and he is an organiser."
