Sunderland's women's soccer team, SAFC Ladies, have announced local shopping centre Bridges as its first 'corporate supporter', reports, www.sportspromedia.com/. The agreement will see player appearances take place at Bridges and comes days after SAFC Ladies recorded a 2-1 win over Liverpool in their first Women's Super League match, following their promotion from the second division.
"The team is doing a fantastic job putting Sunderland on the map in the world of women's football and as the leading shopping centre in the area we wanted to help celebrate their success," said Andy Bradley, the centre director of Bridges.
"We look forward to also welcoming them for some retail therapy when they're off the pitch."
