Sunderland winger James McClean admits this season has been a "rollercoaster".
This time last year McClean was still playing for Derry City and considering a move to Torquay United.
Now he's in the Republic of Ireland's Euros squad and he told the Daily Mail: "It really has been an amazing rollercoaster ride for me. To have joined what I consider a top Premiership club and make my debut for Sunderland was absolutely fantastic.
"To then make by international debut was also very special and to have been voted Sunderland's 'Young Player of the Year' was yet another great boost for me.
"But to have now been selected onto the Irish squad to play in the European Championships has really capped what has been a fabulous year."
