Sunderland winger Adam Johnson is up for their clash with Manchester City.
Johnson made 97 appearances and scored 15 times for City in a two-year spell at the club and admitted that winning the Premier League was a dream come true.
He said: "When you grow up as a kid the two major trophies you want to win are the Barclays Premier League and the FA Cup, and I managed to do both during my time at City so they're times that I'll never forget.
"Of course I don't think I have anything to prove to anyone and I don't try harder against any opposition, but it's always nice to get one over against one of your former clubs."
