Sunderland winger Emanuele Giaccherini was delight to be part of Italy coach Antonio Conte's winning debut against Holland.
Conte had the ideal start to his Italy career, beating 10-man Holland 2-0 with Ciro Immobile and Daniele De Rossi goals.
"Conte was fired up and hungry to win, the same as always," Giaccherini told Rai Sport.
"The disappointment of the World Cup was huge, so we are all eager and enthusiastic to prove what Italy can do and be proud of this Nazionale.
"We have to ensure what happened at the World Cup doesn't happen again."
