Dick Advocaat has revealed that Sunderland want to keep him on as permanent manager.
The Dutchman took the reins at the Stadium of Light in May on a temporary basis, replacing Gus Poyet, and has guided the Black Cats to safety by gaining 12 points from eight matches.
Advocaat told Sky Sports News HQ: "They want me to stay, definitely.
"They discussed it already a couple of weeks ago but I have to be honest to everybody, to my family and the club. I will take a holiday and in that week I will take a decision and let them know what I will do."
