Sunderland are ready to up their bid for Swansea City defender Ashley Williams.

The Sunday Sun says Swansea have already rejected a £4 million offer from Sunderland for the Welshman.

But the Black Cats could now up their offer for Williams - who is also interesting Hull City and QPR - to around £5m.
