Sunderland striker Danny Welbeck admitted a 2-2 draw with Everton on Monday night was not quite the result they were looking for.
The Black Cats fell behind at the Stadium of Light in the sixth minute when Tim Cahill headed home but rallied to find themselves ahead with just over 20 minutes left thanks to a Welbeck double.
But Sunderland gave up their lead with eight minutes remaining when Mikel Arteta fired home for the Toffees, leaving the Manchester United loanee to rue their lost chance.
"We were disappointed not to get the three points but we played really well and did well to keep it at 2-2," he told Sky Sports 1.
"It's a team game and we're always looking to get three points but we'll take it as a positive and move on."
