Sunderland signing Jermain Defoe has no regrets over his time with Toronto FC.
Defoe spent just a year in the MLS with Toronto and, despite scoring 17 goals in 19 games for the club, he admits he was itching to return to the Premier League.
He said: "I don't regret it because I had a great time there.
"They did a lot to get me. It's a good football club and some good players there.
"I enjoyed it, but I just missed the Premier League. That's all it was.
"The intensity of the games, the fans.
"I sat back and thought if I got the opportunity to go back, then it's something I'd consider."
