Djibril Cisse admits he has no idea of what to expect ahead of Sunderland's derby clash with Newcastle United.

"To be honest, I know nothing about Sunderland and Newcastle matches," said Cisse, who will quickly discover the hostility between the two clubs can match anything else served up in the Premier League. "I just know that the people of both clubs look forward to these games and there is a desperation to win. It will be a big game, I can feel what people think about it.

"The Marseille derby is with Paris St Germain and that used to be a very violent derby, now it's okay. I expect a similar atmosphere, a similar game, a really noisy match and I hope for a good result. I haven't really spoken to the lads about what it will be like but all of that is starting to heat up now. I'm really looking forward to it."
