Liverpool striker Fabio Borini is currently undergoing a Sunderland medical.
The 22-year-old has met Paolo Di Canio and agreed the terms of his loan deal and is now undergoing a medical.
The Daily Mail says the deal should be done by 3pm (UK time).
The Italian striker was Brendan Rodgers' first signing as Liverpool boss a year ago, joining in an £8million deal from Roma.
