Jack Colback has signed a two-year contract extension to remain with Sunderland. The 22-year-old has appeared in 20 of the club's 21 games to date this season and scored his first senior goal in the 1-1 Premier League draw with Everton on Boxing Day.
The Academy graduate was voted Ipswich's Players' Player of the Year after spending the 2009-10 campaign, during which he made 41 appearances, at Portman Road.
He returned to the Championship outfit on loan the following season, but headed back to the north-east in January 2011 to establish himself in the Sunderland first-team.
