Republic of Ireland boss Giovanni Trapattoni suggests that Sunderland youngster James McClean could very well be in his Euro2012 squad.
The 22-year old midfielder's brilliant club form led to his senior international debut last month and Trapattoni admits he will keep a very close eye on him as the summer's tournament in Poland and Ukraine looms closer.
"I have not decided in this moment if he can participate in the Euros or not. But, in this moment, we regard him highly.
"We've followed him for many, many games. I know him very well because of the last game.""We follow him because he's young, his mentality is very strong," The Italian said.
