Sunderland aren't giving up on Le Havre fullback Benjamin Mendy.

The Sunday Sun says Mendy will snub Sunderland in favour of Marseille - but only if the French giants match the Black Cats' offer for the teen star.

Le Havre president Jean-Pierre Louvel insisted: "We have an agreement with Sunderland but not with Marseille.

"There are no offers (from Marseille) at the moment. There is nothing materialized."
