Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has failed with a new bid for Sunderland centre-forward Kenwyne Jones.

The Sun says the Black Cats rejected any suggestion of a part-exchange for their Trinidad & Tobago hitman, involving misfiring Spurs striker Darren Bent.

And boss Ricky Sbragia insisted: "He's just not for sale. I want Kenwyne to stay. It's going to the wire this season."
