Sunderland could be interested in doing business with Tottenham over the sale of Asamoah Gyan.
The Ghana international is interesting Spurs boss Harry Redknapp.
The Journal says Steve Bruce is understanding of Gyan's lack of form, this being his first season in England.
However, talk of interest from Tottenham is intriguing - especially if Harry Redknapp was to throw someone like Alan Hutton or Peter Crouch into the equation.
