Sunderland are reportedly close to signing Rubin Kazan midfielder Yann M'Vila and completing a season-long loan deal for QPR's Leroy Fer.

The Guardian is reporting Sunderland boss Dick Advocaat is hopeful deals for both players will be completed in time for the Black Cats' opening Premier League clash with Leicester City on Saturday.

25-year-old Frenchman M'Vila is reportedly due to undergo a medical with Sunderland on Monday before finalising his move, while the terms of Dutchman Fer's loan deal appear to be all but settled.
