Sunderland have decided against offering new terms to four U21 players.
Winger Adam Mitchell, midfielder Ross Holland, striker Carl Lawson and left-back Jordan Watson will be cut loose this summer, says the Evening Chronicle.
Sunderland released two other U21 regulars in Liam Marrs and Craig Lynch at the turn of the year, and there could be more departures in the summer - depending on whether the Black Cats manage to preserve their top-flight status.
