Sunderland midfielder David Vaughan has been left with a positive impression from new boss Gus Poyet.

Poyet debuted as Black Cats manager with a thrashing by Swansea City.

He said: "The new manager seems good. I like the way he wants his teams to play and the methods in training. Hopefully I can get the chance to play and show what I can do now."
